Installation and Maintenance Apprenticeship - Level 3

Electrical Testing can now offer the opportunity to aspiring young learners and their employers the opportunity to undertake a Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship for Installation and Maintenance.

Achieving this qualification will allow successful candidates the opportunity to work in residential, commercial and industrial premises where they will undertake installation, testing and maintenance of low voltage electrical and electronic systems as well as the maintenance of these systems and their repair.

Electrical Testing have been working in the Electrical Industry since the 60’s when our founder Alan Hobbs worked as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for London Electricity.

For the last 5 years, our ETL Training department have successfully delivered the Highway Electrical Apprenticeship, Level 2 and Level 3 to the Highway Electrical Industry, at our head office in Acle, Norwich. and we’ve recently been awarded GOOD provider status by OFSTED  (OFSTED Report).

 

Electrical Testing have partnered with local centre, NEGO based at the Hethel Engineering centre, Wymondham, to run the Installation and Maintenance Apprenticeship, where learners will receive 1st Class tuition from our staff in industry leading facilities.

What does the course cover?

Course content includes:

  • Understanding legislation/ regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Understanding mathematical/ scientific techniques and principles
  • Understanding the purpose of different systems/ equipment
  • Understanding technical information, drawings and specifications
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults

You will complete the Level 3 Installation & Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship Standard.

  • This apprenticeship will involve block release at our training centre, (Hethel, Norwich) and off the job training.
  • You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
  • You need to have an employer to support your apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role.
  • The typical length of this apprenticeship is 48 months.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults

Requirements?

Learners will require GCSE Grade 4/C in Maths and English (Language or Literature) or Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English.

Cohort Start Date?

Our first cohort will start in March 2024 with interviews from January 2024
